Pyramids were built to last, with sphinxes to guard them,
Monuments and temples, with walls around them.
To weather the forces that change and destroy,
So as to prevent the site from becoming another Troy.
Some fell short of the intended purpose,
While others are still standing tall,
perhaps time will bring about the expected none the less.
As hard as they tried, they failed in achieving their intentions,
Not in preventing bitter quarrel, but to last for generations.
For their creators had believed that they had anticipated it all,
for they were foolish,
though not in intelligence,
but in experience.
And it is from one's experience that i say this,
that all of my plans have never failed to miss.
To always miss the target or fall short of expectation,
only to add fuel and proof to the realization.
Never plan too much and always live in the moment,
for to be spontaneous and to be instant,
for they have never failed to yield the expectant.
"Cheerio, no hard feelings", i say
for what we lost was not the capability,
but just another day.
