Lost cause

Guys and girls can never be friends. I know the statement is a very general one but I've had enough proof to justify it. The relationship would change in two ways.

First is when the boy and girl are friends for some time and then they realize that they have "feelings" for each other. This i suppose is a very usual bollywood formula used in umpteen number of movies. Afcourse there has to be a kahani me twist. Some villain comes or the parents are the villains. yada yada. And all that nonsense. These are the kind which will be. And nothing i can say or do will change them.

The second kind is when they are genuine friends who just care about each other as friends. In this case things are a little more complex. The guy and girl don't have any feelings for each other and it is an absolute platonic relationship. But wait, this cant be.. There has to be some spoiler to some thing this nice. And here comes the twist that i called life.. the guy or the girl fall in love with another girl or a guy. If it happens simultaneously, no one looses. But life is not that fair. So one of them finds himself/herself at the shorter end of the stick. The time they spent together is shorter by the day and the every conversation has the others partner mentioned somewhere or the other. Its extremely difficult to have a personal conversation with him/her cause you know that their partner will know about it.A fight will mean that your fighting not one but two minds. To be forgotten is worse than never forgiven.Even time is rarely given.TIME is the most valuable thing in a relationship. Be it friendship, or love.. and u realize, you have sacrificed it all and eventually end up with Nada.Even when you try to be supportive, it kills you inside

I guess its easier to have a friendship with the same sex.. Lot less emotions, lot more reliable..
